Graphics Lab

The Graphics labs at Valencia College are comprised of state-of-the-art equipment which enables students the ability to work on projects with industry standard equipment and software. Labs currently use Intel/G5 Macintosh Computers. Computers are installed with the most recent versions of industry standard software including: OS X, Quark Xpress, Adobe Creative Suite 3, Final Cut Express, iMovie, iDvd, Firefox, Safari, Netscape, and Explorer. Graphics labs are located on East, West, and Osceola Campus.

There is absolutely no eating or drinking allowed in the lab. All cell phones and pagers must be off or in silent mode so that they do not disturb classes or other students during open lab time.

Currently the graphics lab has a black & white laser printer, a color laser printer, and an Epson Inkjet printer available for students to utilize for printing projects. Students must purchase print cards each printer if they require the use of printers in the graphics lab.

• Black & White Laser Print card
  Purchase of this card entitles the student to use the Black & White Laser printer for course projects. This card should only be purchased once per semester. The card expires at the end of the semester that it is purchased in. Max print size: 8 1/2" x 11" or 11" x 17"
• Color Print card
  Purchase of this card entitles the student to use the Color Laser printer for course projects. This card expires once the quantity of color prints are used. This print card does not authorize unlimited printing of projects. Purchase of this card and the price of the card is dependent on the number of prints required. Max print size: 8 1/2" x 11" or 11" x 17"

It is suggested that students review the available lab hours prior to coming to the lab. Reviewing the available lab hours will ensure students do not take a trip to the lab when the lab is closed or when lab hours are not available.

East Campus Lab Hours
Located building 1 room 215.

East is open 9am - 9pm Monday, Wednesday & Thursday
Tuesday from 9am - 6pm.
Friday from 9am to 12pm.
Saturday from 9am to 2pm

West Campus Lab Hours
Located building 5 room 130.

Monday 12pm-6pm
Tuesday 10am-6:30pm
Wednesday Closed
Thursday 12pm - 6:30pm
Friday 10 am - 4 pm

(some open lab hours are during class time- please use the back of the room, be respectfull and quiet for the class in progress, the lab assistant will be in his office for any assistance necessary)
