Program Description

Sitting behind a desk, pecking away at a keyboard isn't what you'd call a dream job. You prefer a career that has a little drama to it...or comedy or action/adventure or even horror. If you envision yourself on the set and seeing your name roll with the credits on the big screen, then Valencia's A.S. degree program in Film Production Technology is for you. Our approach is to integrate students into real productions, to have you working side-by-side with professional filmmakers on actual feature films. Our nationally recognized program -- declared "One of the Best Film Schools in the Country" by none other than Steven Spielberg -- trains students in gripping, electrical-lighting, editing, sound, camera operation and set construction.
