Refunds

Any refund due will be electronically deposited to the student's elected refund preference. If a debt is owed to Valencia, the college reserves the right to apply any amount due against a refund payable. Any remaining balance will be paid to the student.

All Financial Aid disbursements will be processed in accordance with preferences selected using your Valencia Debit Card. Please visit the Higher One site to learn more about all the great benefits that come with your new Valencia Debit Card.

Higher One will deliver all refunds once they receive the refund file from Valencia, and cannot predict precisely when you will receive your refund. As soon as your refund has been disbursed, Higher One will immediately send you an email. You can also sign up for Mobile Alerts to your cell phone or visit them online anytime to check the status of your refund.

When can I expect a refund if I dropped my course(s) on or before the deadline?

Please verify your address in your Atlas account or with the Answer Center.Your refund money is electronically deposited in accordance with your refund reference selected using your Valencia Debit Card.

You can also visit the Higher One site to learn more about the Valencia Debit Card . Valencia releases funds approximately fifteen (15) working days after the last day of the Drop/Add period. If a debt is owed to the college, any refund will be applied to that debt; and any remaining refund due will be payable to the student. Refer to the current class schedule or visit our Important Deadlines page for anticipated refund dates.

Do I receive a refund when I withdraw from a course?

No, to receive a refund you must drop your course(s) on or before the advertised add/drop deadline. If you withdraw from a class you are still responsible for any amount due on your account.
