Lake Nona Campus
The Lake Nona Campus, which opened in 2012, is strategically
located near Lake Nona’s Medical City, a premier location for medical care, research and education. The campus is led
by an executive dean who reports directly to the campus president. Since its opening, enrollment at the Lake Nona
Campus has surged, reflecting both the growth of the local community as well as an increasing demand for higher
education in the area. The Lake Nona Campus currently serves more than 6,000 students annually in a single academic
building of 85,000 square feet; funding for a second building at the Lake Nona Campus is the college’s top legislative
priority this year to support additional growth.
Situated next to Lake Nona High School, the Lake Nona Campus is home to Valencia’s Collegiate Academy, an
accelerated academic program that allows students to build a highly competitive academic profile and progress toward
a completion of a college degree while still in high school through a robust offering of Advanced Placement and Dual
In response to local workforce needs, the Lake Nona Campus offers an Associate in Science degree in biotechnology
laboratory sciences. Since the program’s launch in 2015, more than 400 students have declared biotechnology as a
major. Valencia is seeking an innovative and collaborative leader who can partner with the community to continue to
develop a unique educational ecosystem for the area.
