General Counsel and Chief Legal Officer, Lone Star College System

Since August 2008, Mr. Nelson has been serving as General Counsel & Chief Legal Officer, responsible for all of Lone Star College System's (LSCS) legal affairs which involves expertise in all aspects of Higher Education law. LSCS is one of the fastest growing Community College Systems in the United States. With over 85,000 students, it is currently the largest institution of Higher Educatin in teh Houston Area; teh second largest Community College in teh State; and the leader in awarding Associate Degrees in teh State of Texas. LSCS is proud to have two model comprehensive University Centers. The newest Center, Lone Star College-University Park, is spread out over seven buildings for a total of 1.2 million square feet of space.
