Overview
Here you will find brief summaries of employer options for recruiting students for work-based learning experiences or students, alumni, and community members for part-time or full-time employment. For more details on these options, please follow the links at the top-right of this page.
Internships
Internships give students the opportunity to explore careers, make valuable contacts in an industry, and learn about themselves and the types of jobs that are available. For an employer, it has many significant advantages also:
- Builds your potential employee pool.
- Affords additional staff assistance during peak times/special projects, etc.
- Grants you the fulfillment of mentoring a student.
We expect each employer to provide meaningful activities for the student to perform that would enhance the student's understanding of his/her career/program area. In addition, we solicit your feedback about the intern's job performance and our responsiveness to your request.
Employers who wish to provide our students with a work-based learning experience can find more information about doing so by contacting one of the three Job Development Placement Coordinators. Click here for contact information.
Community Jobs
Employers can post part-time and full-time positions for students and community members on this online job board. There is an online form to complete or you can submit it online or send a flyer to be posted.
On-Campus Recruitment
Employers are invited to set up a date for on-campus recruitment. Any of the four campuses are available for recruitment, Monday through Thursday. Our office provides a table and two chairs from 9:00 am until 2:00 pm. Employers are welcome to attend each campus twice per month. In order to reserve on-campus recruitment, you will need to complete a form and agree to our policies and procedures. This form will need to be submitted to our office at least two weeks prior to the date you wish to visit.
