The Professional Staff Leadership Team is the proactive, collaborative voice for professional staff


The Professional Staff Leadership Team advocates:

  • fostering inclusion in college governance
  • facilitating recognition of professional milestones and achievement
  • promoting professional advancement and growth
  • encouraging a culture of collaboration, contribution, service, scholarship, and outreach

Our Purpose:

Developed in 2002, the Valencia College Professional Staff Leadership Team serves as a cohesive voice to promote and advocate the inclusion, recognition, and development of Professional Staff and to link Professional Staff with the governance structure of our learning-centered college.


The Leadership Team consists of 14 Professional Staff employees, representing all campuses and all parts of the college. The Leadership Team meets monthly to discuss relevant issues and to plan Professional Staff Forum meetings that include all staff members. This team is your direct contact to any policy questions you may have. A current member list is posted on the Professional Staff Forum Group on Atlas.
