GENERAL QUESTIONS

Valencia releases funds approximately fifteen (15) working days after the last day of the Drop/Add period. If a debt is owed to the college, any refund will be applied to that debt, and any remaining refund due will be payable to the student. Visit the Important Deadlines page for anticipated refund dates.

 

No, to receive a refund you must drop your course(s) on or before the advertised add/drop deadline. If you withdraw from a class you are still responsible for the tuition and fees, and the charges will be reflected on your student account.

ENROLLMENT QUESTIONS IN NEW PROGRAM

BankMobile purchased Blackboard Pay our former refund service provider. In order be able to offer students a way to conveniently receive electronically, Valencia has contracted with BankMobile to manage refund disbursements. This contract may be found by clicking here.

Since no financial information will be migrated from Blackboard Pay to BankMobile, you must re-enroll in the new system to receive your refunds electronically.

While Valencia College encourages all students to have their refunds deposited electronically, you are NOT required to enroll in order to receive funds due to you.  If you take no action, you will receive refund via a paper check.

 

 
You will receive an Important Message About Your Refund Selection email sent to your Valencia Atlas email on or after August 2, 2018. This email will provide further instructions on how to enroll. Refer to the Electronic Refund Enrollment Instructions at http://valenciacollege.edu/refund/ to learn more.

You will receive an email sent to your designated email address (which may or may not be your Valencia Atlas email) and a text message if opted in for Refund Status Alerts after the payment file has been released by Valencia which usually occurs on Friday by 2PM, but this cannot be guaranteed. Rest assured, we are working diligently to get your refund to you as quickly as possible.

Typically, funds are available based on your refund selection as follows.

  • ACH transfer to a valid bank account: 2-3 business days
  • BankMobile Vibe account: Same business day
Paper check: 7-14 business days.
 

Yes, log into RefundSelection.com and select Refund Preferences from the menu option. Once on this page, make your new selection and click Update Preference button to complete the process. Please note that your new selection will only apply to future refunds.

 

REFUND PROGRAM TRANSITION

Valencia is no longer able to send your refund to your Money Network Card. If you want to have your refunds sent to you electronically, you must choose to have those funds send to a bank account. You can have funds sent to an existing bank account or BankMobile Vibe account.

If you take no action, you will receive any refund due to you by paper check.

 

You will be able to continue to use your Money+ Card through May 2019. You can make withdrawals at any Allpoint ATM or receive cash back point of sale. In addition, you can use your Money+ Card at any retailer that accepts MasterCard. If you have any remaining funds after May 2019, First Data will mail you a check when the account is closed.

You are not required to enroll in the BankMobile Vibe account to receive your refund.

 

When you attempt to enroll through Atlas, you will receive a message indicating that you have previously enrolled in a refund selection. You can change your refund selection at any time by logging in at RefundSelection.com.
