The Faculty at Valencia have long worked in cooperation together through what we call “The Association.” The Valencia College-wide Faculty Association is governed through a Constitution, first written in the years after our College began in 1967. These governing documents have been crafted collaboratively through the work of the Faculty Council, the College’s “voice of the faculty,” and then voted into being by the full Association. They have been edited and revised throughout the years as the Faculty strive to keep the guiding documents relevant to changes that emerge to affect our practice and experience. We are committed to the philosophy that the Faculty play a vital role in the success of the College and should be provided with a formal voice in the development of the College. These documents guide us in that endeavor of speaking to matters of faculty-related interest and welfare.
