Interdisciplinary Studies

The Interdisciplinary Studies Track is designed to create an integrative, holistic education experience that empowers a global and diverse perspective.

Academia defines a discipline as a particular branch of learning or body of knowledge. These disciplines include their own unique theories, perspectives, and methods. Colleges depend on these disciplines as effective platforms to communicate knowledge and create change.

The Arts and Humanities department understands that one of our goals is to make connections and provide the opportunity for any form of dialogue between two or more disciplines campus wide and college wide.

Today, interdisciplinary learning is far more common as there is growing recognition that it is needed to answer and solve complex questions. The dialogue among disciplines will enhance coherent understanding of complex issues that are increasingly beyond the ability of any single discipline.
