Shugart has announced his retirement at the end of the 2020-21 academic year, Valencia’s District Board of Trustees is embarking on a national search to find the fifth president of Valencia College, an individual who will continue the work of innovation, visionary leadership, and an unwavering focus on student success.
The search for Valencia’s fifth president will encompass three phases: search process design, active recruitment, and discernment and selection.
The Board has commissioned a search committee to support to the search process.
