West Campus Tutoring Center

The West Campus Tutoring Center offers free academic assistance for Valencia and UCF students with a valid Valencia ID number.

Math tutoring is available on a walk-in basis during operating hours while all other subjects are by appointment and conducted in small groups. Check out Smarthinking online tutoring through the Courses tab in Atlas for times when the Tutoring Center is full or closed.


  • During the summer, Valencia closes at 12 pm on Fridays so please keep that in mind as you plan your tutoring sessions
  • The Tutoring Center will be undergoing renovations June 18-July 2 and tutoring will be relocated
  • Time of availability will not change unless noted below
  • Tutoring relocations:
    • Math and SL sessions: Library, Group Study Area; Saturday June 23 and 30: 7-254, 10 am-2 pm
    • Upper Level Math Labs: 7-241, Section 2 of the Math Lab
    • Economics: 7-140 (Computer Lab)
    • Sciences: Building 7, Atrium
    • Spanish: Library, SPACE in the Computer Access Lab (first floor)
  • Material check-out will still be available in 7-240
  • General use computers, Orange print station, and print card machine inside the Tutoring Center will not be available

Materials available for check out with your valid Valencia ID card

  • math textbooks and solution manuals (2 hours)
  • TI-84+ graphing calculators (5 hours)
  • TI-89 graphing calculators (5 hours)
  • dry erase markers (2 hours)
  • group study rooms (2 hours)

Any material returned past the designated due time is subject to a $1.20 per hour late fee.

Tutoring Center Rules

  • Treat the Tutoring Center like a classroom and be respectful
  • No mobile phone conversations in the Tutoring Center, please take calls in the atrium
  • Food and smokeless tobacco are not permitted in the Tutoring Center
  • Students are required to show their Valencia ID in order to check out materials from the Information Desk
  • No children are permitted per Valencia policy 6Hx28:04-10

Interested in becoming a tutor? Email Teresa Gallagher your resume, unofficial transcript, and two letters of recommendation with the subject(s) you are interested in tutoring. If you are interested in being a math tutor, you must have taken up to Calculus 2 or Statistics.
