Visitors & Guests

Guests are welcome to browse the Library collections and utilize study spaces.

Guests currently affiliated with other institutions in the Florida College System and State University System have borrowing privileges; please see the Reciprocal Borrowing section of the following document for information: Borrowing and Circulation

Library computers are intended for use by currently enrolled Valencia College students, staff and faculty (using Atlas username and password).

As UCF Regional Campuses, West and Osceola campuses also offer library computer use to currently enrolled UCF Valencia West and/or UCF Valencia Osceola Campus students (using NID and PID).

Computers are for academic purposes only. Guest log-ins will not be provided to support social purposes.

Guest log-ins are reserved for the following special considerations, based on space available:

  • To complete an application for Valencia College
  • To complete a financial aid application (FAFSA)

Guests affiliated with official college business, programs or partnerships may be logged in on a case-by-case basis at the discretion of library staff.

Guest log-ins for large groups affiliated with official college business, programs or partnerships may be arranged, pending approval of the office of information technology and library administration, with at least two business days' notification and electronic room availability.

Please note that information and help with the applications for the college and financial aid is available through the Atlas Labs and Answer Centers on each campus. Library staff is not available or trained to assist with filling out these forms.

To maintain network security, guests must provide library staff with their names. By signing in as a guest, you are indicating your agreement with this statement and that your use meets the above criteria.

All users are expected to comply with the libraries' Computer & Internet Acceptable Use statement. Library staff has the authority to monitor computer use.

Currently enrolled students must use their own Atlas username and password to log in. Guest log-ins are not available for currently enrolled students. Students will be referred to the appropriate college help desk for issues with expired passwords, etc.

Access to the Valencia wi-fi network is not available to visitors and guests.

Reference services are available to guests with the understanding that Valencia College staff and students have priority. Guests with reference information needs are referred to librarians. The librarian will determine the best means of answering the question. This may include referral to a public library branch (Orange or Osceola County Library System Branch Locations).
