Morning Meditation

Begin your day by centering your heart and mind in a short mindfulness practice to cultivate receptivity and openness. From this stance we can listen to ourselves and others to develop a language that centers on restoration and healing.

Friends of Split Oak Forest Nature Walk

Valerie Anderson of Friends of Split Oak Forest

Join Valerie Anderson from the FL Native Plant Society to learn about Florida wildlife, native plants, and the ongoing work to preserve Split Oak Forest. Split Oak Forest is located approximately 3 miles from Lake Nona Campus at 10525 Clapp Simms Duda Rd in Orlando.Participants must meet there at 11am for the 1.5 mile trail walk. Wear appropriate footwear and consider bringing a hat and sun protection.

A Fundamental Right to Clean and Healthy Waters: Restoring Our Relationship with Nature

This workshop will explore the need to grant citizens a fundamental "Right to Clean and Healthy Waters." We will focus on the current effort in Florida as an example, looking at the state's Rights of Nature movement that led to this effort as well as cultural and legal paradigms that impact sustainability.
