Technology Ambassadors

The Technology Ambassador course provides students with the opportunity to give back to Valencia and the greater Orlando community by completing computer repair, computer training, manage events, projects and activities. The mission of the Technology Ambassadors is to cultivate student empowerment through helping the local Valencia community be more aware of computer security, fix computers allowing students to complete schoolwork and develop individuals to be able to develop themselves as a manager and trainer in the computer industry.  

Technology Ambassadors can complete 20/40/60 hours of service (1/2/3 credit hours of SLS 2940).

Ambassadors meet at the East Campus on Tuesday 12-1pm for the each semester.  We will meet in 8-226

Peace & Justice Ambassadors

The Peace and Justice Ambassadors course provides students with the opportunity to give back to Valencia and the greater Orlando community by assisting the Peace and Justice Institute with events, projects and activities. The mission of the Peace and Justice Ambassadors is to cultivate student empowerment through activism and outreach that promotes nonviolence, compassion, and dignity for all earthlings, while upholding and embodying the core principles of the Peace and Justice Institute.

Peace and Justice Ambassadors complete 60 hours of service (3 credit hours of SLS 2940) through the Peace and Justice Institute.

Ambassadors meet at the East Campus on Monday 1-2:15 pm for the spring 2018 semester.

SAGE Ambassadors

The Study Abroad and Global Experiences (SAGE) Ambassador Program provides returned study abroad students with the opportunity to become international education advocates and active global citizens.  Study Abroad Ambassadors support study abroad and international education through events, activities, marketing, outreach, advocacy, and projects.  Ambassadors are selected based on professor nomination and a competitive application process.  Ambassadors must have traveled on an approved study abroad program and be in good standing at Valencia College. 

SAGE Ambassadors complete 20 hours of service (1 credit of SLS 2940) each fall term.
