Join us in Greece as we learn about Sea Turtles and ocean conservation efforts as we explore the Greek Isles. First, we will spend some time learning about Sea Turtle Preservation by visiting a facility located on Florida's East Coast. Then while in Greece, we will learn about environmental education and sea turtle rescue in Athens, Santorini, and Crete.
You will complete 5 hours of service learning in Florida and 21 hours of service learning in Greece. You will be actively engaged in sea turtle care, searching for sea turtle nests, and understanding the importance of a beach cleanup. While in Greece we will also explore historical sites and engage in cultural activities while enjoying the natural beauty of the Grecian landscape and beaches. Highlights include a tour of the Acropolis in Athens, a volcano hike, the breathtaking sunset from Santorini, touring the beautiful pink sands of Elafonisi Beach in Crete.
