This award is in honor of Mr. Loren Bender, former Chief Business and Financial Officer for Valencia College. During his tenure at Valencia College, Mr. Bender built a highly effective team and invested significantly in the professional growth of employees in his division. The goal of this award is to keep his focus on mentorship and professional development strong throughout Valencia College.

Supplemental Information

Nominees should have had a meaningful and significant impact on the professional development of one or more employees. The award criteria are based on the areas below:

• The significance and impact of mentoring on one or more employee’s professional development.
• The length of time and level of commitment involved in mentoring.
• The impact of this professional development and mentoring on meeting the College’s mission, vision, and strategic impact plan goals.

Nominees must be active, full-time employees at Valencia College who are staff or administrators.
