How to Resolve a Mailing Addres Hold
Valencia College's system periodically identifies inactive addresses and will place a Mailing Address (MA) hold on your account. You may have received an email about this with instructions for how to correct the issue. Once you update this address via Atlas, the MA hold will be lifted. This process is designed to minimize inconvenience and ensure that your account is quickly restored to good standing. What is a Mailing Address (MA) hold?
This is a hold that means Valencia College does not have a valid, active address for you.
Why did my account get an address verification hold?
Your address failed United States Postal Service (USPS) verification due to inaccuracies such as incorrect street number, zip code, state, street address, etc. Consequently, a hold has been placed on your account to serve as notification to you that you need to update your address.
Can I still register for classes with an address verification hold on my account?
The MA hold won't impact your registration at all. You're still free to add, drop, or withdraw from courses without any issues.
Will this hold affect my financial aid disbursement?
Having an active mailing address on file is super important! While this MA hold doesn't affect your financial aid directly, it does impact the ability of the Business Office to send you any financial disbursement funds if we don't have an active address.
How can I resolve an address verification hold?
To resolve the MA hold you must update your mailing address., You can update any of your personal information via the Update My Personal Information page.
Are there specific address formatting requirements I should follow?

How long will it take for the hold to be removed after I update my address?
The MA Hold is usually removed within one to two business days.
Can I receive notifications about the status of my address verification?
If your address isn't verified, you'll get an email and a hold on your account.
Once your address is verified, the hold is lifted, and you're good to go!
How will I know if there are issues with my address after I update it?
