English and Reading PERT review are available for qualified students. Workshops are self-paced and performed online through My Foundations Lab. Please come to the Writing Center for assistance in signing up for the PERT review on a drop-in basis during the Writing Center’s open hours. The hours for online PERT review are: Monday - Thursday: 10:00am - 5:00pm

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: What do I need to bring for the review?
A: You must bring one of the following: 1) a Valencia student ID, 2) Valencia VID number, or 3) a government issued photo ID.

Q: How long does the review take?
A: The review is self-paced. It could take anywhere from 30 minutes to several hours. It depends on the speed and ability of the individual student.

Q: Why do I need to take the review?
A: The review is designed to help identify specific skills which need further attention before retaking the exam.

Q: Where do I take the PERT Review?
A: On East Campus, the English and Reading PERT Review instructions are given in Building 4, Room 120. 

Q: What time is the PERT English and Reading Review administered?
A:During the writing center’s open hours, come in on a drop-in basis for assistance in signing up for the PERT review which can be completed online at your own pace.
