Clear Space

Giving a little space around our logos lets them stand out amongst copy, images and other logos.

Allowing some space around the Mascot Script Signature helps it stand out. At a minimum, allow room for three capital Es all the way around. In some special circumstances, it may be necessary to reduce the minimum clear space to the height of two capital Es.

Logo Sizing

Let’s make sure everyone can see it—after all, we want them to know it’s us. Some methods of printing may not allow the logo to look its best at small sizes. So, keep it no smaller than 1” wide.

Steer Clear of Incorrect Use of the Logo

We all play in a role in protecting our brand. Let’s use the approved artwork and stay away from the examples below. It will help maintain the integrity of the mascot our students know and love.

Do not create logos using the Puma Script.

Do not draw or animate your own version.

Do not use over a pattern or photo.

Do not change the colors, even if they fit the Valencia College brand.

Do not tilt the logo on an angle.

Do not distort the proportions.
Need a V.I.P. (Very Inspiring Puma)?

The VC Puma has become so popular, we developed brand guidelines for the use of the mascot mark and for Purrcy the VC Puma, our mascot character. You can showcase Purrcy at your next event in one of two ways: purchase a reusable life-size cutout or request a live appearance. Whether appearing in the form of a stand-up cat or showing up in purrson, Purrcy comes complete with just the right amount of “cattitude.”
