Precision Optics, Photonics and Fiber Optics Technician

In fact, the need for skilled optics professionals is considered critical, with every Photo Optics Engineer needing the support of 10 Optics Technicians to bring innovations to market. These technicians primarily craft precision lenses fashioned out of glass blocks.

Valencia College is helping meet this need with a Precision Optics, Photonics and Fiber Optics Technician program that can be completed in just 15 weeks. In this Accelerated Skills Training program, you’ll spend 80% of your class time gaining employable skills in our state-of-the-art Optics and Photonics Lab. Taught by local optics professionals, the program gives you a direct connection to employers. When you finish the program, you’ll be eligible to earn nationally recognized industry certifications employers look for when hiring.
