Florida America 250 Visual Arts Contest
Patriotic Puma Art Contest
The purpose of this visual arts contest is to encourage community college students to engage creatively to design artwork while reflecting on freedom, national heritage, and civic responsibility. The contest will promote student voices, support academic and creative expression, and showcase student talent across the college community. This contest is open to Valencia students only.
This event will open submissions the week of March 9 - March 13, 2026, and will stay open until Friday, June 5, 2026. Our winners will be on display and announced publicly the week of June 29.
- Traditional 2D Work - Painting / Drawing
- Photography
- Sculpture/3D Work
- Digital Work (Graphic Design)
- 1st Place - Tuition/bookstore credit $1,000 + campus feature + certificate + social media
- 2nd Place - Tuition/bookstore credit $500 + certificate + social media
- 3rd Place - Tuition/bookstore credit $250 + certificate + social media
- Honorable Mentions - Certificates and social media
- Every Participant - Certificates
- Not accepting AI pieces.
- If selected, the student must bring the piece in for collection prior to public announcement.
- A student may submit no more than 1 art piece.
The week of June 15 – June 19 students will be notified that they are selected for the gallery.
The week of June 22 – June 26 students must bring in their artwork to the specified campus.
The week of June 29 – the winners and the gallery is revealed.
