Centers for Accelerated Training

The Valencia College Centers for Accelerated Training address the critical lack of access to training and employment opportunities for underserved communities. The coalition—made up of elected officials, business and nonprofit leaders, community-based organizations and the regional workforce board—leads a unified effort in producing innovative, accelerated training programs that lift individuals out of poverty and provide a clear pathway into full-time employment with family-sustaining wages. The goal is to break the poverty cycle through the community-wide system of support in the Accelerated Skills Training model.

We believe that access to education belongs to everyone, because the future does, too. Through advanced technology programs, we’re developing talent to fill the workforce gap in high-growth industries—all while teaching life skills, improving confidence and creating a lifelong connection to higher learning.
