Action Plan

Sustainability Action Plan

A Sustainability Action Plan is a long term planning document that organizations develop to identify focus areas important to their sector and outline specific strategies within each of those areas that are customized for the institution. For Valencia College, this sector is higher education and our seven focus areas include:

  1. Transportation
  2. Building Energy
  3. Education and Outreach
  4. Solid Waste
  5. Water Efficiency
  6. Grounds

 Read Valencia’s 2014 Climate Action Plan Update. Closely related to our Sustainability Action Plan, we updated our Climate Action Plan in 2014, providing updates initiatives and actions taken in a majority of the seven focus areas.

STARSValencia College is proud to have achieved the STARS (Sustainability Tracking and Rating System) Silver Rating from the AASHE (Association for the Advancement of Sustainability in Higher Education) in October 2012.
