Helena Trio

Humanities Speaker Series & Master Musician Series

The Helena Trio will present an enriching program of works by female composers comprised of Hildegard von Bingen, Gwyneth Walker, and Libby Larsen, in addition to some classic works by Richard Strauss and the moving spirituals of Harry T Burleigh. The Helena Collective is committed to perform music that elevates and illuminates the female experience. Recent performances have included Schumann's Frauenliebe und Leben cycle and Argento's from The Diary of Virginia Woolf. Helena won the 2019 Critic's Choice Award at the Orlando Fringe Festival for their original production, 6 of VIII: The Six Wives of Henry VIII.

The art submissions will be accepted February 1st - February 21st via sdlakenonacampus Instagram or email at studentdevlnc@valenciacollege.edu. The submissions will be shared online or TVs throughout the week of Feb. 26th - Feb 29th (Spring Arts Week).
