Meet the Artist:  Sky Angles: A Photographic Journey Through Urban Horizons

Step into the captivating world of architectural marvels and urban landscapes with the "Sky Angles" Photography Exhibition. This extraordinary showcase features a meticulously curated collection of photographs captured by graphic design professor, Julio C. Falú, during his explorations of downtown cityscapes between the autumn of 2022 and 2023. With a keen eye for design and aesthetics, Falú has transformed these city skylines into visual narratives that celebrate the beauty of our urban environments.

Opera Orlando Performance

Val Woldman

Opera Orlando is thrilled to present Sarah Purser, mezzo soprano and Grammy Award winning baritone Gabriel Preisser, will perform a concert of arias and duets from some of the most beloved opera and musical theater works of all time. Repertoire will include pieces by Mozart, Rossini, Bizet, Rodgers and Hammerstein and Andrew Lloyd Webber among others.

Open Class:  Movement for the Actor

Join this class for an introduction to Viewpoints, a physical training system for dancers, actors, and mindful movers. Come prepared to move and work barefoot.

Open Class: Outdoor Drawing Class

Professor Anthony Mancuso

During Student Art Week participants will have the opportunity to observe a live outdoor drawing class. Student participating in the class will display concepts and skills in observational drawing learned from the foundations drawing program at Valencia College. Observers who are interested are invited to participate in the outdoor class and will receive feedback from students and the instructor.

Clarice and Sergio Assad

Master Musician Series

Clarice and Sérgio Assad share their timeless passion for music composition and performance, together reimagining old classics and writing new works as a collaborative team.  A powerful communicator renowned for her musical scope and versatility, Clarice Assad is a significant artistic voice in the classical, world music, pop and jazz genres. “Brazil’s First Family of Music” may be best-known to American listeners via the astonishing guitar duo of Sérgio and Odair Assad. The idea for the collaborative venture came from Sérgio Assad, who dreamt of introducing multiple generations of the family on stage together, performing a century of Brazilian music of disparate styles. Clarice and Sérgio share their timeless passion for music composition and performance, together reimagining old classics and writing new works as a collaborative team. The family essence is ever present, wrapped in the warmth and intricacies of ancestry and connection. 
 Time: 7:30 p.m.
