Program Changes/Updates

5/18/2020 Fall 2021

Curriculum changes effective Fall 2021:

•BSC2093C is no longer required to apply or graduate for the A.S. program
•HIM1453 is the new Anatomy/Physiology course that is HIM-specific to the program (TC & AS)
•HIM1453 will not be required to apply for HIT; students will take this after acceptance; TC students take this course
•STA2023 replaced MAC1105 in-program for HIT; Math Path allows students to take STA1001C or MGF1106 (see Math Path)

 

Certification or Registry documentation will no longer be reviewed/accepted for admissions points.

Career Pathways or NAF (AOHS) graduate transcripts will no longer be rewiewed/accepted for admissions points.

  Summer 2021

Students applying to the A.S. Health Information Technology degree program must have a minimum overall college GPA of 2.0.

  Spring 2019

Submission of all official transcripts from all institutions, include High School transcripts or GED score report must be submitted to Valencia and posted on your record before submitting a program application.   Missing transcripts will jeopardize your acceptance. 

Transfer courses may need to be reviewed by an Advisor for potential course substitution or equivalency. NOTE: courses taken at other institutions may not be equivalent to Valencia Allied Health Program course requirement (see Program Guide for details). Course substitution or equivalency must be on your Valencia record before submitting program application or your acceptance will be jeopardized.

5/8/2018 7/1/2018 All Valencia students and transfer students that have completed course work at the college must have a minimum 2.0 Institutional/Valencia GPA, at the time of applying to a Health Sciences Program. Must also be in good academic standing.
