We can assist you with a variety of student records needs—whether you're a current student who's interested in changing your major program or an employer looking to verify an individual's enrollment at the college or an earned degree.

Student Records Forms Available in Atlas

Log into your Atlas account, click on Students Tab > Student Forms > Admissions and Records to access these forms:

  • Change of Program/Major (program/major, degree pathway, admit term, meta-major, primary campus, and UCF DirectConnect classification)
  • Duplicate Diploma/Certificate Request
  • Enrollment Verification
  • Change of Personal Information Form (name, mailing address, emergency contact, SSN)

NOTE: It is your responsibility to notify Valencia College of any change in your record, such as address, status, etc. Please be advised that certain updates to your record will require supporting documentation such as name changes. Additionally, all documents submitted to Valencia College become the property of the College and will not be returned.


Enrollment and Degree Verification

Valencia College Students

If you’re a current student at the college, you can securely access and print free enrollment verifications through your Atlas account, immediately after submitting the request. Enrollment Verification is available 24 hours a day 7 days a week.

Enrollment Verification Request Instructions

  1. Log into your Atlas account
  2. Click on the Students tab
  3. Select Admissions & Records from the Student Forms box on the left side of the page
  4. Select Enrollment Verification from the list of options
  5. You will be automatically directed to the National Student Clearinghouse secure site
  6. Click on Obtain an enrollment certificate (you may choose to receive enrollment verification for the current term only or for all enrollment terms). Note that current term enrollment verification is not available until approximately five (5) business days after the end of the add/drop period. Valencia College submits enrollment data to the Clearinghouse once a month.
  7. After obtaining your enrollment certificate be sure to click on Log Out in order to leave the secure National Student Clearinghouse website. You will be returned to your Atlas session.

Please note: Current term enrollment verifications will not be available until approximately five business days after the drop/refund deadline, which can be found on the Important Dates and Deadlines calendar. Valencia College submits data to the National Student Clearinghouse once a month.

You can verify your degree attainment through your transcripts.

Not a Valencia College Student – Third Party Verification

Confirm a Valencia College student’s enrollment, degree, or attendance through EnrollmentVerify and DegreeVerify – two instant, online tools through the National Student Clearinghouse.

  • EnrollmentVerify (located under "Colleges" tab) is designed to fulfill the verification requirements of companies that offer products or services requiring proof of a student's enrollment status. EnrollmentVerify users include companies such as credit issuers, insurance companies, travel companies, and others.
  • DegreeVerify (located under "Colleges" tab) provides online verifications of college degrees or attendance claimed by job applicants. The service is designed to simplify verification for employers, background screening firms, executive search firms and employment agencies, who regularly screen candidates.

Please note:

  • Current term enrollment verifications will not be available until approximately five business days after the drop/refund deadline, which can be found on the important dates and deadlines calendar.
  • Please note: Valencia College submits degree information to the Clearinghouse once per term.
  • All Enrollment and Degree Verifications at Valencia College will be through the National Student Clearinghouse only.

Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act

Student Privacy Rights

Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) affords students certain rights with respect to their education records. These rights include:

  1. The right to inspect and review their education records.
  2. The right to request an adjustment to the education record if the student finds the record to be inaccurate, misleading, or in violation of their privacy rights.
  3. The right to provide written consent to disclose or withhold personal information about the student.
  4. The right to file a complaint with the U.S. Department of Education concerning alleged failures by the college to comply with the requirements of FERPA.

Directory Information

FERPA authorizes the college to disclose “directory information” upon request without consent. Valencia has identified the following as directory information:

  • Student’s name
  • Major field of study
  • Dates of attendance
  • Degrees, honors and awards received

Record Integrity: Federal statutes require colleges to protect the privacy rights of student records.  Valencia College does not fax documents to institutions, agencies, or individuals, because documents transmitted utilizing fax technology cannot be secured. Additionally, most institutions do not consider documents sent to them via fax as official records.
