First Stop Virtual Visit
Questions? First Stop has the answers.
Current and incoming Valencia College students are encouraged to make an appointment to meet in person with a First Stop Enrollment Navigator, but drop-ins and virtual visits are welcome as well.
Our virtual services are designed so that students can get help without coming to campus or scheduling an appointment in advance. You will be connected virtually to the first available enrollment navigator.
Virtual Support
You will need to have downloaded the Zoom app to your smart phone or device to connect.
Note: During times of high volume, our scheduling queue may close when our capacity
to serve students admitted into the virtual lobby has been met.
Using Zoom
Before joining the Zoom session to connect with us, make sure you have access to a computer, tablet, or smartphone with an enabled microphone. You do not have to have a webcam to participate, but you are welcome to use one if you would like to do so.
You will need to download and install the Zoom app to your smartphone/device to connect.

-
After clicking on the Connect With Us button, you will be asked to choose which department you would like to sign in to.
-
Next, you will be asked to enter your student Valencia ID (VID). (If you don’t have a VID yet, click “Don’t have a student VID number yet” and fill in your information.)
-
Then, you will select the reason for your visit from the drop-down options listed.
-
From there, you will be prompted to enter your cell phone number. We can text you updates while you wait, so we highly recommend including your phone number.
-
Once signed in, you will be placed in a virtual line – be sure to monitor your phone/device for updates.
-
When it is your turn to be seen, we will send you a unique Zoom link for your meeting.
-
Click on your Zoom link as soon as you receive it to join your enrollment navigator's virtual office.
-
You will have 3 minutes to join the space before we need to call the next student, so be sure to have your phone/device close by and be ready to log in.
-
You will meet one-on-one with an enrollment navigator for individual assistance.
-
Please have a photo ID available for your visit.
-
Proper dress required: If you are going to use a web cam to interact with an enrollment navigator, it’s important that you dress appropriately — just like you would in a traditional, face-to-face meeting.
-
When connecting with our virtual services, it’s important you are able to fully engage with an enrollment navigator. You should never connect with our virtual services when you’re driving, and we recommend you avoid accessing our virtual services when you are engaged in another activity that limits your attention during the session.
