Money Back Guarantee Programs at Valencia College
Valencia College offers a Money-Back Guarantee for students who complete select workforce education programs and are unable to secure employment within six (6) months of graduation. This program allows eligible students to apply for a full tuition refund if specific conditions are met.
Eligible Programs
Enrollment in one of the three eligible degree programs listed below automatically enrolls a student in the money-back guarantee program:
Refund Eligibility Criteria
To qualify for the Money-Back Guarantee refund, students must graduate from one of the eligible programs and be unable to obtain employment in the related field within six months of completion. In addition, the student must:
- Complete all program requirements for one of the three eligible programs at Valencia College and have the degree awarded by Valencia College.
- Earn a minimum GPA of 3.0 in the program.
- Attend at least 80% of required classes (Note: Health Science programs may have additional attendance policies).
- Meet with a Student Success Coach and submit a career-ready cover letter and resume approved by the Career Center.
- Participate in Career Center programs such as skill shops, job fairs, or employment readiness sessions.
- Be in good financial standing with Valencia College.
- Be eligible for employment in the U.S. and meet general employer requirements (legal status, physical and mental fitness).
- Complete work-based learning opportunities such as internships, clinicals, or job shadowing during the program.
- Within one (1) month of program completion:
- Begin actively applying for jobs.
- Do not enroll in another degree or training program.
- Register and pass all credentialing exams, certifications, or licenses required for employment (if applicable).
- Be willing to relocate or travel for employment within the field.
- Provide documentation of:
- At least 100 job applications submitted for relevant positions.
- A minimum of 25 job interviews, including good-faith efforts with supporting evidence (e.g., interview invitations or rejection notices).
