Progress Report Email Templates

Instructions

Below are the email templates you can use to send your progress reports during the term. To copy, drag your mouse over the text you need and use either CTRL+C or right click and select copy. You can then paste into your email message body by either using CTRL+V or right click and select paste.

 

Excessive Absence Warning

This is a warning that you have too many absences and/or have not completed course requirements; therefore, the quality of your academic performance is suffering. Please review the policies in my course syllabus and, if you wish to continue with the class, arrange a conference with me to discuss your status by ________. On the other hand, if you choose to withdraw from the class, it is your responsibility to withdraw through your Atlas account. You may withdraw yourself only before the withdrawal deadline, and you will receive a grade of W.

Any student who withdraws from a class during a third or subsequent attempt in the same course will be assigned a grade of F.

If you are on a Bright Futures scholarship, you will be responsible for reimbursing the college for the tuition and fees associated with this class if you earn a W or F grade in the class.

 

Below C notice

Your grade in ____ is currently below a C. Please arrange a conference with me as soon as possible so that we can discuss your academic progress and make a plan for your success in this course.

 

Gordon Rule course progress

This is a warning that you are behind in your work for _____ and, thus, are not meeting course requirements mandated by Florida's Gordon Rule. Remember, the Gordon Rule requires students to complete designated courses with grades of C or better. If you do not complete this course with a grade of C or better, it cannot be used as a prerequisite for higher level courses. Check your course calendar/syllabus for details and discuss your performance with me as soon as possible.

 

Possible course failing notice

I am concerned about your failure to satisfactorily complete lab, classroom, and/or other assignments in __________. You are in jeopardy of failing the course. Check your course calendar/syllabus for details and discuss your performance with me as soon as possible.

 

Conference reminder

This is a reminder that conferences are a required component of ___________. Your failure to attend these conferences is adversely affecting your grade and places you in jeopardy of failing. Missing a scheduled conference is equivalent to missing a class meeting. See the attendance policy in my syllabus. Please arrange a meeting with me to discuss your progress as soon as possible.

 

C or better needed

This is a reminder that unless you complete _____ with a grade C or better, the course cannot be used as a prerequisite for higher level courses. Please arrange a conference with me to discuss methods for improving your performance in this class.
