Nursing Programs

The Valencia College Nursing offers a two-year Associate in Science (A.S.) degree program as well a four-year Nursing Bachelor's of Science (B.S.N.). Both degrees offer opportunities for specialization. Because of the current shortage of skilled nurses, there are tremendous opportunities in nursing. The nationally accredited programs at Valencia College are among the best for preparing men and women for nursing careers, by connecting students directly to situations nurses face today. These programs offer classroom curriculum together with real-life clinical experiences to help nurses build skills and confidence.

The Nursing program at Valencia College is limited access, meaning that admission to the College does not imply acceptance to the Nursing program. Students must apply and be accepted to the programs. Upon completion of the A.S. program, you will be prepared to take the National Council Licensure Exam to become a registered nurse (RN).

Nursing

There are few occupations where your day-to-day activities can impact so many people in such a significant way. As an RN, you may care for newborns in a Pediatrics ward, assist in an emergency room setting, work within a General Practice. Nursing is a field that is as extraordinarily rewarding as it is challenging.

The School of Nursing offers two Limited Access Nursing options:
