Student Conduct Board
The Student Conduct Board consists of Valencia faculty, staff, and students. Members are tasked to serve as hearing officers for formal disciplinary hearings. The formal disciplinary hearings are coordinated to allow students the right to be heard by our Valencia College community members in cases where they have been charged with alleged violation(s) of the Student Code of Conduct.
2025-2026 membership applications will go LIVE January 14, 2025.
Serving on the Student Conduct Board will...
- Build pathways for faculty, staff, and students by fostering deeper connections with the students and enabling them to achieve their aspirations.
- Assure learning by creating safe conditions for student learning to occur throughout the student conduct process.
- Invest in each other by offering different professional development and career growth opportunities in understanding the College disciplinary process.
- Partner with the community to ensure the health and safety of the greater Valencia College.
Why serve on the Student Conduct Board?
Serving on the Student Conduct Board is an opportunity to give back to your community. The complexities of the cases provide an opportunity to enhance your critical thinking and decision making skills. Additionally, you learn how to communicate effectively by asking thought provoking questions while practicing your listening skills when understanding the involved parties. The greatest incentive of all is the opportunity to network and building interpersonal relationships with the campus community members through these lived experiences. We hope you consider applying for this upcoming year!
