Credit for Industry Certifications
Florida has established statewide articulation agreements for industry certifications through the use of Gold Standard agreements. These provide guaranteed college credit for individuals who have earned an industry certification and are enrolled in an aligned Associate in Science (AS) degree program in a Florida College System institution. These agreements are intended to be a minimum guarantee of articulated credit and do not preclude institutions from granting additional credit based on local agreements.
The Gold Standard Career Pathways Articulation Agreements provide opportunities for Florida secondary and postsecondary students to accelerate their degree completion and save money through being awarded postsecondary credit for earned industry certifications.

There is also a College Cost Savings Excel document which provides a listing of industry certifications eligible for articulation, the name of the associate degree program to which the certification can articulate, as well as the number of college credits and the minimum cost savings associated with each certification.
Valencia College Gold Standard Industry Certification Agreements:
In addition to the Gold Standard Industry Certification Agreements, Valencia has also expanded available credit for industry certifications through local agreements for some of the degree programs.
