New Student Admission Information
Effective Fall 2022
The Associate in Science, Nursing (ASN) has implemented changes based on State of Florida Rule 6A-10.04213, which impacts General Education requirements for degree graduation, as well as the Fall 2023 ASN admission criteria. See the catalog and Program Guide for additional details.
- Students must meet the minimum requirements in order to apply, however, this does not guarantee acceptance.
Effective Summer 2022
The Traditional Nursing (ASN) program will no longer have a first-come, first-serve admission process, and there will not be a waitlist. The program has changed to a selective, points-based admission. Eligible students are required to apply for the term of interest for admission consideration and must reapply if not selected for program acceptance.
For the new admission process, applicants will be ranked by points earned in prerequisite coursework and by ATI TEAS Composite score points (must also meet the 65 minimum score to qualify to apply). The program will continue to require an overall GPA of 3.0, as well as a prerequisite GPA of 3.0. Details can be found in the updated Program Guide regarding points, applicant ranking, and all requirements on the admission checklist.
