Child Care Assistance to Help Parents Graduate Faster

The grant-funded Child Care Access Means Parents In School (CCAMPIS) program at Valencia College offers financial assistance to eligible student-parents in need of child care services during their pursuit of a degree. The program aims to help participants remain in school and graduate with their degree faster.

Successful Engagement: Active Learning in Mathematics (SEAL‐M)

SEAL-M is a 5-year NSF grant project, seeks to deepen community college mathematics faculty members’ understanding of active learning to emphasize knowledge construction leading to student success. The SEAL-M grant at Valencia College is a natural outgrowth from our Building Math Pathways work at Valencia College that took place prior to the pandemic.

In times of need, Valencia College students can turn to VCentials. A free source of food and essential items such as toiletries, VCentials is made possible through the generosity of the Florida Blue Foundation, Second Harvest Food Bank of Central Florida, Universal Orlando Foundation, Walt Disney World, Dr. Phillips Charities, Valencia College Foundation, Student Development and members of the Valencia College community.

Valencia Engaging for Completion Through Opportunities in Research (VECTOR) is an S-STEM project supported by the National Science Foundation (NSF) with the intent to provide students pursuing a STEM education with scholarships, support from discipline-specific faculty mentors, the VECTOR team, and Valencia College academic resources.
