Planning Your Degree Pathway
This document is a sample outline of the courses needed to complete your Specialized Associate in Arts Transfer degree for transfer to the University of Central Florida. Unlike the Associate in Arts (A.A) degree, the total program credit hours may exceed 60 and may require more than two years to complete. Please connect with your student success coach if you need introductory coursework or have previously earned college credit (such as AP, CLEP, military, or transfer). Your student success coach can help you modify this plan based on the number of courses that you want to take in a term and your individual needs and goals.
Degree Requirements
- Introductory Coursework: Required courses based on placement tests including developmental education if needed
- Foreign Language: Required to have 2 years of one high school foreign language or meet college-level foreign language equivalency
- Civic Literacy Exam: Must satisfy Florida Civic Literacy Exam or appropriate scores in AP or CLEP exams
- Grade Point Average [GPA]: Need to maintain 2.0 or higher for both Overall GPA and Valencia GPA, including completing all CPPs with a 2.0 or higher.
- Valencia Residency: Must complete at Valencia at least 25% of the college-level credits required for the AA degree

Electives and Pathway-Specific Information
The AA degree requires 24 credits of electives. Some electives may have been pre-filled into the term-by-term plan based on your pathway.
- Starting your math sequence higher than MAT 1033C will save time, money, and elective space; prepare and test for proper math level It is encouraged to meet with a Coach to discuss your math options.
- If you start higher than MAT 1033C, you can finish PHY 2053C*+^ and PHY 2054C*^ or PHY 2048C*+^ and PHY 2049C*^ sequence as electives.
- If you took one year of high school chemistry, you may be eligible to start your chemistry sequence higher than CHM 1025C, to which you can finish PHY 2053C*+^ and PHY 2054C*^ or PHY 2048C*+^ and PHY 2049C*^ sequence as electives - please see your Student Success Coach for more information.

- Students may not be able to complete all CPPs prior to transferring to the However, they may be completed after transferring. It is strongly recommended to complete both parts of a science sequence at the same institution.
- Due to the order of prerequisite courses you need to take, some semesters may not lead to full-time enrollment.
- This program is restricted access and requires a minimum overall 3.0 GPA at UCF.
- Students may exceed the 60 credits of their AA following this Pathway. Please meet with a Student Success Coach and/or Financial Aid Specialist to discuss these circumstances.
