Students will travel to the city of London, England to study the information technology culture and trends in Europe. We will explore how businesspeople coming to London use technology for communication, transportation, safety, and understanding the culture. We will examine how technology was utilized for the Olympics. We will visit businesses in London’s Technology Sector to examine how they have become the technology hub of Europe. Finally, students will visit cultural sites and venues to see how technology is used.

Course Description

This course explores the use of information technology in an international setting. Students will expand their cultural awareness during a Study Abroad Trip, while examining business uses of technology. While in a foreign country, a lab component of the course requires students to use digital communication, including Internet access and telephone communication. This course requires the student to have a smart-phone or tablet.
