Graduation Distinction
Tier 1: Honors Diploma
Option A:
The SENEFF HONORS COLLEGE SCHOLAR diploma is reserved for those students…
1 who successfully complete all of the curricular requirements of one of the program tracks (i.e. the track checklist of classes),
2 who earn no less than a "C" in each honors class,
3 who graduate with a cumulative overall GPA of at least 3.5, and
4 who complete three approved co-curricular activities each term of enrollment (fall and spring)
Option B:
The VALENCIA HONORS SCHOLAR diploma is reserved for those students…
1 who successfully complete at least 18 hours of honors coursework (track checklist
or other courses as needed for their major),
2 who earn no less than a "C" in each honors class,
3 who graduate with a cumulative overall GPA of at least 3.33, and
4 who complete three approved co-curricular activities each term of enrollment (fall and spring).
Tier 2: Honors Certificate
The HONORS CERTIFICATE is reserved for those students…
1 who successfully complete at least 12 hours of honors coursework track checklist
or other courses as needed for their major),
2 who earn no less than a "C" in each honors class, and
3 who maintain a cumulative overall GPA of at least 3.25.
Regalia
Honors graduates receive special regalia to recognize their academic achievements at graduation. Regalia varies by distinction:
Seneff Honors College Scholar:
- Medallion
- Stole
- Tassel
Valencia Honors Scholar:
- Cord
- Stole
- Tassel
Honors Certificate:
- Stole
- Tassel
Honors Student Advisory Committee officers also receive an officers’ cord.

Honors Graduate Recognition
The Seneff Honors College recognizes all of its graduates at an annual banquet during commencement weekend. Students and their loved ones are invited to celebrate their achievements with Valencia administration, faculty, and staff. Festivities include a presentation of regalia and Honors-only transfer scholarships.
