The School of Hospitality Management and Culinary Arts at Valencia College is filling the workforce needs of one the region's most dynamic industries. Based at the Valencia College downtown campus — a shared campus with the University of Central Florida — the School is home to the 50,000-sq.-ft. Walt Disney World® Center for Culinary Arts and Hospitality. Here, you can learn from award-winning chefs, work with state-of-the-art culinary tools and train in a variety of cuisines. You can also master front desk technologies, gain insight into hospitality management and refine your guest service talents — everything you need to land a successful career upon graduation.

 

State-of-the-Art Programs and Facilities

Located in Orlando, one of the most popular tourist areas in the country, the School of Hospitality Management and Culinary Arts offers programs that combine classroom instruction with hands-on training to help you move into supervisory and mid-management positions in lodging, food service, tourism, and other potential hospitality careers. You can earn an associate in science degree in Hospitality Management and Culinary Arts, Baking and Pastry Management, or Culinary Management. The School also offers a number of technical and advanced technical certificates.

Culinary Student is Chasing Her Dreams and a Little Pixie Dust Too.

Among the valuable aspects of the program is the opportunity to complete a 240-hour internship which enables you to develop skills and expertise in guest services and management, as well as technical areas. Our campus features a mixology lab with a 24-foot bar and brewery, baking and pastry labs with artisanal bread baking ovens and a chocolate spraying room and culinary labs featuring induction stoves and a microgreen growing cabinet.

 

Our culinary kitchens replicate restaurant and banquet kitchens and are fully equipped with the latest appliances, cookware and utensils.

You will receive the preparation and training necessary to compete for renowned internship opportunities each semester, including a paid Disney Professional Internship. Walt Disney World Resort internships test students’ skills in a fast-paced environment—from catering and convention events to fine dining, pastry and quick-service restaurants. The experience provides an opportunity to build on the skills you’ll learn in the classroom within a family of legendary brands passionate about creating world-class experiences on a global scale.
