About Us

The office of Analytics & Planning exists to provide leadership for analysis and data management in support of institutional innovation, decision-making, state and federal reporting, development and implementation of the college planning process, and oversite of the regional accreditation processes.

We accomplish this with collaborative support from our talented team of experts who are committed to working together to accomplish our goals.

Analytics and Reporting

 

The mission of the Office of Institutional Research is to contribute data, information, and analysis to Valencia's culture of inquiry and evidence in support of learning assessment, decision-making, strategic planning, continuous improvement, and mandatory reporting.

 

CFEED

 

Central Florida Education Ecosystem Database (CFEED): With support from Helios Education Foundation, the School District of Osceola County (SDOC), Orange County Public Schools (OCPS), Valencia College (Valencia), and the University of Central Florida (UCF) along with Accenture and WestEd are engaged in a Collaborative Design Phase to grow organizational capacity and develop hypotheses on student readiness.

 

Institutional Effectiveness

 

The Office of Institutional Effectiveness is organized to support the demands of meaningful institutional effectiveness planning and implementation efforts throughout the college. Institutional effectiveness requires the annual articulation of expected outcomes, the development and implementation of appropriate means for assessing results, the collection and analysis of data, and on-going professional development in order to act on assessment results.

 

Institutional Evaluation

 

The office of Institutional Evaluation supports the college-wide research efforts of faculty and staff, including the development and administration of surveys and focus groups, as well as related analyses and use. We are responsible for the college's participation in national research projects, such as the Community College Survey of Student Engagement (CCSSE). The office also oversees the Institutional Review Board (IRB) process.

 

Resource Development

 

The mission of the Resource Development Office (RDO) is to increase external funding that will support innovative projects that increase student success. This office offers the following services to grant seekers:
