Meet our Dual Enrollment Ambassadors
Willow is a senior at Cornerstone Charter Academy where she is involved in National Honor Society, Service Learning and Kindness Club. She aspires to be an elementary school teacher and is involved in Educators Rising at Valencia- a club for future educators. In her free time, Willow enjoys volunteering at Pet Alliance of Greater Orlando, hanging out with friends, and taking her 8-month old puppy to the dog park. In the Spring of 2020, Willow will graduate with her Associates in Arts degree in General Studies and later transfer to a Florida University to major in Elementary Education.

Name: Bailey Shelton
Bailey is a senior at Windermere High school and a full-time student at Valencia. Bailey’s goal at Valencia is to graduate with her Associate of Arts in General Studies in the spring of 2020. After Valencia, she plans on transferring to the University of Florida to earn her bachelor’s in Biochemistry. She hopes to become a general practitioner.
A tip for DE students: Don’t take an 8:30a class if you’re not a morning person! Take advantage of all the free resources Valencia has to offer and enjoy getting a head start on the college experience!
Name: Erin Sampson
Erin is a senior at Olympia High School where she is involved in the advanced choirs and Spanish Honor Society. In her free time Erin enjoys hanging with her friends, reading, volunteering at Second Harvest Food Bank and working. Erin plans on graduating in the spring of 2020 with her Associate in Arts degree in General Studies. After high school, she wants to pursue both a B.A. and M.A. in Political Science.
A tip for DE students: Keep track of assignments and obligations with an agenda or planner.
Name: Reina Fortune
Reina is a senior at Olympia High School. She enjoys spending time with family, dancing and participating in church activities. Reina also enjoys the simple pleasures of life such as reading C. S. Lewis, laughing and eating good food. Reina is very involved at her high school campus. She has served in roles such as captain of her dance team, officer in the Music Honor Society and a member of the National Honor Society as well as the National Science Honor Society. She has enjoyed being a first chair Olympia’s orchestra and representing the school as the 2019 Martin Luther King Humanitarian awarded recipient. Reina loves relating to her fellow Haitian Americans and seeing those around her grow. The future holds receiving an Associate of Arts degree in General Studies and eventually a Bachelor and Medical degree at the University of Florida.
A tip for DE students: Through this stressful time, try to see the sunshine through things by keeping your eyes on things that matter.
Name: Sheenaika Fevrier
Sheenaika is a senior at Apopka High School where participates in the Medical Magnet program and several honor societies. These honor societies include Beta, National honors Society and Interact Club. Sheenaika is planning to graduate with her Associate of Arts in General Studies in the spring of 2020. She plans on attending medical school to become a pediatrician. In her free time, she enjoys window shopping and styling hair.

Name: Claire Eckoff
Claire is a senior at Winter Park High School. Claire is a person who is very involved in her community doing community service projects, as well as being involved with her church youth group. She also enjoys taking classes at Valencia. Claire’s academic goal is to get a degree in psychology and become a developmental psychologist. Claire plans to obtain her AA when she graduates in the spring of 2020.
A tip for DE students: Set a goal for yourself and focus on that goal until you obtain it.
Name: Colton Wiltsie
Colton is a senior at Colonial High School, where he is involved with the Project Lead the Way (PLTW) program. Colton is also the caption of the Colonial bowling team, leading them to a metro championship. In his free time, he enjoys playing games and practicing card tricks. His goal at Valencia is to graduate with his Associate of Arts in General Studies in the summer of 2020. Colton plans to continue his education at UCF and get a masters in classical studies to become a professor.
A tip for DE students: Have a break between classes; have time for work and yourself.
Name: Kevin Gomez Abrego
Kevin Gomez is a senior at Colonial High School where he is involved with the Project Reach program and Key Club. Kevin is planning to graduate with his Associate of Arts in General Studies in May of 2020. He is undecided in which major to pursue, but hopes to find out through his electives at Valencia.
A tip for DE students: Double think taking night classes; don’t forget you have long days ahead of you.
Name: Ryleigh Burke
Ryleigh is a senior at Colonial High School. She is involved in Valencia’s Historical Society and plans on graduating high school with her AA degree in General Studies. She will graduating Valencia in May of 2020 before getting her BA in English and going to law school.

Name: Agatha Calle
Agatha is a senior at Osceola Virtual School and a member of the National Society of High School Scholars (NSHSS). In her free time, she enjoys volunteering at Advent Health Hospital in Celebration, reading, hanging out with friends and catching up on sleep. She plans to graduate with her Associate of Arts in General Studies from Valencia College in the spring of 2020. Agatha plans to major in Health Science and minor in Psychology at the University of Central Florida.

Name: Chelsea Washington
Chelsea is a junior at Tohopekaliga High School. Even though she is unsure of what degree to pursue, she plans to obtain her Associate of Arts in General Studies from Valencia College. She is very dedicated to her studies and will become successful in any field. She loves the opportunities Valencia has given her and how much she has grown since becoming a Dual Enrollment student.
A tip for DE students: Do not be afraid to ask questions, this process can be confusing without help.
Name: Mirolla Hanna
Mirolla is a senior at Freedom High School where she is involved with the National Honor Society (NHS). She is an active member in her church and enjoys playing volleyball and basketball. In her free time, she enjoys volunteering at Give Kids the World. Mirolla plans to graduate with her Associate of Arts in General Students from Valencia College in spring 2020. She hopes to continue her education with the goal of pursuing a medical career.
A tip for DE students: Being a Dual Enrollment student gives you a head start and an idea of how college works. Enjoy it and always ask questions.
Name: Yairiliz Lopez
Yairiliz is a senior at Poinciana High School. She is the secretary of beta club and an active member of the National Honor Society. She also spends her time clerking in the ninth judicial circuit, volunteering at the library and hanging out with friends. Her goal is to graduate with her Associate of Arts in General Studies from Valencia College and to pursue a Bachelor’s degree in Advertising at a four year university.
A tip for DE students: Never be afraid to try new things or visit new places; fortune favors the risky.
