Valencia College is piloting a unique opportunity for dual enrollment students in Osceola County. These dual enrollment technical certificates can put you on the fast track to reaching your academic and career goals while you are in high school. Each certificate can be completed within a year. These certificates are designed to prepare you for a four-year degree and entry-level jobs in fast-growing fields of photonics and semiconductor technology.
These in-demand programs provide an up-to-date curriculum in semiconductor engineering technology. You will also work with special test equipment in advanced laboratories, which will provide you with the latest in hands-on experience.
Students must meet all admissions requirements for the dual enrollment program and be enrolled at an eligible Osceola County school. To learn the dual enrollment admission requirements, visit valenciacollege.edu/dual.

Technical Certificate
12 credits
Learn to assemble, install, operate, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair basic laser and fiber optics devices and equipment used in the fast-growing laser and photonics industry.

18 credits
Gain the skills needed to operate and maintain the equipment used in advanced manufacturing environments, both large and small, across the country.
