Course Registration

Registering for new Valencia classes is exciting! These reminders for Dual Enrollment students are helpful when building your schedule for the next semester.

Spring 2025
  •  Oct 29 - Continuing student registration opens
  •  Nov 5 - New student registration opens
  •  Jan 6 - Classes Begin (full term only)
  •  Jan 13 - Drop Deadline (last day to remove class(es) without penalty)
  •  Mar 14 - Withdrawal Deadline "W" Grade (full term classes)
  •  Apr 27 - Semester Ends

Dual Enrollment students may only register for full-term classes. Flex classes are not permitted.

Summer 2025
  •  Mar 4 - Continuing student registration opens
  •  May 5 - Classes Begin (full term classes)
  •  May 12 - Drop Deadline (last day to remove class(es) without penalty)
  •  June 27 - Withdrawal Deadline "W" Grade. Visit the academic calendar for flex class deadlines.
  •  July 28 - Classes end  (full term). Visit the academic calendar for flex end dates.

Dual Enrollment students may register for full-term or flex classes.

Fall 2025
  •  Mar 4 - Continuing student registration opens
  •  Mar 11 - New student registration opens (full term only)
  •  Aug 18 - Classes Begin (full term only)
  •  Aug 25 - Drop Deadline (last day to remove class(es) without penalty)
  •  Oct 24 - Withdrawal Deadline "W" Grade (full term classes)
  •  Dec 7 - Semester ends

Dual Enrollment students may only register for full-term classes. Flex classes are not permitted.

Graduating High School Seniors

Dual Enrollment students who are graduating from high school will no longer be eligible for Dual Enrollment. If a graduating high school senior desires to continue with Valencia College in the summer following graduation, they may register for full-term and/or any part of term. All graduating high school seniors registered planning to take summer courses are responsible for all tuition / fees and establishing Florida Residency (if applicable). Please see the Academic Calendar for important dates/deadlines.


Registration Reminders
  • Dual Enrollment students may register for up to 13 credits for fall and spring semesters 7 credits in the summer.
  • Review the Dual Enrollment Course List and Valencia catalog for course descriptions.
  • As a Dual Enrollment student, you are responsible for creating your class schedule and registering via your Valencia account.
  • Meet with a Dual Enrollment Coordinator for academic planning, submitting AP/IB/AICE credit, questions about course prerequisites.
  • Always share your Valencia schedule with your school counselor and parent/legal guardian.
  • We strongly encourage students not to exceed a total of 6 courses between Valencia College and high/middle school.
  • Dual Enrollment students may not take flex classes in the fall or spring terms. Summer flex classes are permitted.
  • You may take online, mixed-mode, real-time virtual, and/or on campus classes.
  • Registration instructions (including tutorials) can be found on Valencia's Support How To site.
  • It is helpful to do an Advanced Search so that you can choose specific class details, such as Full Term, modality, and professor.
  • You will receive a Valencia email from the Dual Enrollment office when your instructional materials are available to order.

Adding and Removing Courses

You may add classes to your schedule until the first day of the start of the semester. Please advise, there will be limited availability the longer you wait to register for classes and may delay in ordering required instructional materials.

You may drop your class(es) only within the drop deadline period. Stay familiar with the important dates and deadlines on the Academic Calendar for each term. Once the drop deadline has passed, any courses that are removed from your schedule will be a withdrawal. Dual Enrollment students are only permitted to one have withdrawal to remain eligible for the program.

Please note it is the student’s responsibility to remove themselves from a course.

Ineligible Courses

As a Dual Enrollment student, you are not permitted to register for the following courses.

  • Courses less than three (3) credit hours
  • Flex start courses in fall or spring terms
  • Bachelor Degree program courses
  • Limited access degree programs (Nursing, Police Academy, Fire Fighter, etc.)
  • Developmental/remedial or physical education courses
  • Third attempts for a course

Account Balance

A balance will remain on your account until the end of the term. Dual Enrollment students are not responsible for paying these fees and the balance will not cause the student to be dropped from classes.
