Interested in dual enrollment? We’d love to see you pursuing your goals! Follow the steps below to get started. There’s no cost to submit your dual enrollment application.

*Please Note - if you have applied in a previous application cycle and were not accepted, you must submit a new application to be considered for Dual Enrollment.

Application Checklist

Meet Criteria at the Time of Application

  • Must reside in Orange County or Osceola County.
  • Be registered at an Orange County or Osceola County Public/Charter School, eligible private school, home education student, or Personalized Education Plan recipient in Orange County or Osceola County.
  • Meet the high school cumulative GPA requirement: 3.0 unweighted (grades 6-11); 3.0 weighted (grade 12).
  • Obtain eligible test scores in Reading, Writing, & Math through PERT/ACT/SAT/CLT (CLT10 not accepted)

Gather Information Prior to Completing Application

  • Applicant email address – do not use your middle/high school student email.
  • Parent/guardian email address – must be different from the student email.
  • Home education students are required to upload the completed  Home Education articulation agreement and proof of home education enrollment with Orange or Osceola county as part of the application process. Documentation must reflect good standing for the current school year. Visit the Home Education Students page for detailed information. 
  • Personalized Education Plan (PEP) student applicants are required to upload the completed  PEP articulation agreement and scholarship award letter for the academic year as part of the application process. (Award letter for current academic year will suffice for application - updated award letter for registration is required).   • Applications must be fully completed with the required documentation to move forward in the review process.

Submitting Dual Enrollment Application

  • Visit valenciacollege.edu/dual and click the Apply Now button when the application opens.
  • Select “sign up” if this is your first time applying via this portal OR select “sign in” if you have applied in a previous application period.
  • Make sure to write down your username and password.
  • Provide personal information and click “submit”
  • Look for an email titled “Get Started on your Valencia College Application” to create your account (check junk/spam folder).
  • Select “Start a New Application”
  •  
  • Select the Application Term and click on Start Application.
  • Complete each section and use the "Save and Continue" button.
  • Proofread application, sign, and select “Verify & Submit”. Be sure you see that your application is 100% submitted.

After Submitting Application

  • Check with your parent/guardian to complete the Parent Recommendation (check junk/spam folder).
  • Check with your school counselor to complete the Counselor Recommendation.
    • This is not required for Home Education/PEP student applicants.
  • You should receive an email in 5 – 7 business days after all required sections of the application are completed. This email will include your Valencia ID (VID) number and instructions for submitting test scores.
  • Application is not considered complete until the student, parent/guardian, and school counselor recommendations have been successfully submitted. Application will not be reviewed or processed until all required portions have been completed or after the application deadline.

*Eligible assessment scores must be obtained by the assessment score deadline to be admitted to the Dual Enrollment Program. Please review the minimum assessment scores  and free review material.


Test Score Requirements

All students are required to submit and have college-ready test scores on file at Valencia College for reading, writing and math, by the deadline for the desired term of enrollment. Any combination of eligible scores (see below) will be accepted.
