Distance Testing

Valencia College Testing and Assessment offers proctoring services for students taking online or distance learning courses from other colleges and universities that require exams be administered in a proctored environment. Our Testing Center provides limited distance course testing for non-Valencia students on an appointment-basis (walk-ins will not be accepted).

Please review the following guidelines prior to requesting testing at Valencia College.

About the Testing Center

Distance Testing exams may be administered as paper & pencil or computer-based. The following browsers and platforms are supported: Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Canvas, MyMathLab, and Respondus Lockdown Browser. Student use of personal computers is not permitted in the Testing Center.

ID Policy:

Students must bring a physical valid form of photo identification. Pictures of IDs or electronic IDs will not be accepted. Acceptable forms of ID’s include: 

 1. A student ID 

 2. A current driver’s license 

 3. A current state or federal ID card (such as a Green Card) 

 4. A current passport 

Availability

Tests are administered on an appointment basis Monday through Friday between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM, except for holidays and college closures. During peak periods, appointments may be limited. Appointments must be scheduled 24 hours in advance (no walk-ins will be accepted).

Fees

The proctoring fee for distance testing students is $25.00 per exam and must be paid at the time of registration via RegisterBlast. All exam fees are nonrefundable. 

Distance Proctoring Process

It is the student's responsibility to communicate and coordinate with their instructor the desire to take an exam at the Valencia College Testing and Assessment Center. Your professor must send exam materials directly to Valencia College using the Distance Proctoring Request Form.

Distance Proctoring Process for Students

This process is to be followed by non-Valencia students.

Step 1: Email wpc-testingcenter@valenciacollege.edu  the name and email address of your instructor

-Please submit exam requests at least five business days prior to your preferred test date

Step 2: Wait for approval from the Winter Park Testing Center

-Please allow three business days for information to be received from your instructor or institution testing center

-Detailed instructions for appointment registration will be sent to you via email

Step 3: Register and pay for your exam via RegisterBlast

Step 4: Arrive for your exam on exam day

-Please arrive on time for your appointment

-Please bring any instructor approved testing materials such as calculators and notes

This process is to be followed by non-Valencia instructors or institution testing centers.

Step 1: Complete the Distance Proctoring Request Form for each exam

-Please allow three business days for requests to be approved

Step 2: Wait for approval from the Winter Park Testing Center

-Once approved, detailed instructions will be sent to students for appointment registration

 

Proctor Information

If your institution requires a signed Proctor Agreement Form prior to testing, please email the completed form to us. The signed form will be returned via email to your institution. Please use the contact information below to identify Valencia College as an exam proctor for your institution.
