Postsecondary Education Readiness Test (PERT) Scores

Dual Enrollment Applicants: Valencia College will retrieve PERT scores from a student’s school district as soon as they have applied to the Dual Enrollment program. No action is needed from the student for high school PERT scores.  

If a student has taken the PERT with Valencia College, there is no action needed by the student to submit PERT scores. 

Transfer Students: Valencia College will only accept valid PERT scores from previously enrolled institutions. Students may fill out the PERT Score Retrieval Form to request scores to be retrieved from the PERT repository. Students will need to include their full name, Valencia ID number (VID) and where they took the PERT. Note: PERT scores are not available in the PERT Repository immediately after testing. 

Sending PERT scores to a different school: If a student would like another Florida institution to receive their PERT scores, the student must ask the receiving institution to retrieve their scores from the Florida PERT Repository. If an institution does not have access to the PERT Repository, students can visit a Valencia College assessment center to retrieve a copy of their scores. 


ACCUPLACER Next-Generation Scores

Valencia College will accept ACCUPLACER Next-Generation scores taken within the past 2 years.  

Valencia College will only accept the following ACCUPLACER Next-Generation assessments: 

  • Reading 
  • Writing
  • Quantitative Reasoning, Algebra, and Statistics (QAS) 
  • Advanced Algebra and Functions (College Level Math)

The most efficient way to send scores is through a student’s ACCUPLACER Student Portal. Alternatively, scores can be emailed directly from the institution to assessment@valenciacollege.edu.


ACT Scores

If a student has taken the ACT in the past two years and the scores are at college level, students can send scores electronically to Valencia College through their ACT account. Valencia College’s school code is 0736. 

ACT score requests are processed after a student’s tests have been scored and all scores are ready. If the score is available to be sent, it is usually sent the same day.

After receiving scores from ACT, scores are processed by the Testing & Assessment department within 2 business days.

All requests must be done through ACT. No other forms of submission will be accepted. 

 

SAT Scores

If a student has taken the SAT in the past two years and the scores are at college level, students can send scores electronically to Valencia College through their CollegeBoard account. Valencia College’s school code is 5869.

SAT scores are sent electronically through standard delivery. Scores are typically sent within 5–10 business days of an order being placed or a couple weeks after test day if a student designated score recipients as a part of their registration.

Rush shipping is only available for scores that have already been released. Scores are sent within 1–4 business days (excluding holidays and weekends).

After Valencia College receives scores from CollegeBoard, scores are processed by the Testing & Assessment department within 2 business days.

All requests must be done through CollegeBoard. No other forms of submission will be accepted. 


Florida Civic Literacy Exam (FCLE) Scores

High school and transfer students must submit their high school or college transcripts to Valencia College for their FCLE scores to be reflected on their Valencia College account.

If a student took the FCLE at another Florida institution but did not enroll at that institution, the FCLE Retrieval Form must be submitted to retrieve exam scores.  

NOTE: Students must have a composite score of 48 or higher to satisfy the graduation requirement. 

Valencia College will not accept FCLE scores via email. 

 

Test of Essential Academic Skills (TEAS) Scores

NOTE: TEAS may be taken 3 times in a 12-month period; this includes tests taken at other institutions or with ATI Remote Proctoring. Students must wait 30 days to retake the TEAS.  Retakes may be taken on the 30th day after their prior attempt.

ATI TEAS scores are valid for two years for admission to Valencia College Nursing and Health Sciences programs. Scores on record may be used for Valencia College Nursing and Health Sciences programs admission criteria if test dates are less than two years old at the time of the application deadline starting with the Summer 2023 application deadline.

If a student would like to transfer scores from tests taken at Valencia College, they will access their ATI TEAS account to manage their transcript credits and view their results. Each scored TEAS exam will be listed in the MY RESULTS tab with a link to SEND TRANSCRIPT. The scores will be sent electronically to the designated recipient.

Valencia College will accept a student’s previous ATI TEAS scores from another institution. A student may request their scores by accessing their ATI TEAS account. Make sure scores are sent to Valencia College (Valencia ADN). Please see TEAS transcript process.

This request is only to match a student’s score report from ATI to their Valencia College account. Students must still request their scores be sent from ATI to Valencia College.

Valencia College cannot provide official scores for this test. All requests must be done through ATItesting.com.   


Basic Abilities Test (BAT) Exam Scores

If a student has taken the BAT after August 14, 2019, they can print their score report from their Pearson VUE account. If a student is unable to view their scores in their Pearson VUE account, they should contact the Pearson VUE candidate support line at 877-242-1697.  


College Level Examination Program (CLEP) Scores

If a student plans to attend another college or university, CLEP scores do not transfer automatically with a Valencia College transcript. Students will need to send their CLEP scores in addition to their Valencia College transcript. To send additional transcripts, students will need to visit the CLEP transcript portal in CollegeBoard.

Please note the following:

  • Valencia College cannot provide official scores for the CLEP. All requests must be done through CollegeBoard.
  • Valencia College will ONLY accept CLEP transcripts through CollegeBoard.

CLEP Score Processing: It takes up to 4 weeks to receive and process official CLEP score reports. Once an official CLEP score report is processed, the class(es) awarded will be displayed on a student’s degree audit. College Level Academic Skills Test (CLAST) Scores

Teacher certification candidates who wish to submit College Level Academic Skills Test (CLAST) scores to the Bureau of Educator Certification, will need to obtain an official score report that displays their CLAST scores.

  • If the teacher certification candidate took the CLAST prior to July 1, 2002, then the Florida Teacher Certification Examination (FTCE) testing contractor, ES Pearson, will have their CLAST scores on file and can produce a duplicate score report, which will be accepted by the Bureau of Educator Certification.   • If an individual took the CLAST before July 1, 2002, but did not pass the subtest(s) until after July 1, 2002, the passing score will not be on file and is not eligible for teacher certification purposes.
  • If an individual's CLAST scores are listed on their transcript as a 999(99), 998(98), 997(97), or 996(96), the individual was exempted from taking the CLAST and does not have passing scores.

Candidates can utilize the   Pearson Score Request Form if they took the CLAST prior to July 2002 or after the 60-day window has expired.

Classic Learning Test (CLT) Scores

Valencia College only accepts Classic Learning Test (CLT) scores directly from CLT.  To send official CLT scores to Valencia College, students need to follow these steps:

  • Students will log into their CLT exam account.
  • Go to "Past Performance" to find previous scores.
  • Click the "Share" button under the necessary scores.
  • Under "Partner Colleges and Universities", students will select Valencia College from the dropdown menu.

Students can check to see if their scores were sent by visiting the "Shared Scores" menu on the left side of the student dashboard.

Please allow 1-2 business days for CLT scores to be received and processed. CLT scores are valid with Valencia College for 2 years after test completion date.
