LinkedIn Learning

LinkedIn Learning is an online video course library taught by industry experts in software, creative, and business skills. With more than 15,000 courses and personalized recommendations, LinkedIn Learning allows you to discover, complete and track courses related to your field and interests. Courses can be accessed with desktop and mobile devices. This leading educational platform is now available to all Valencia College faculty and staff members.

Employee Development

All faculty and staff have the opportunity to participate in development through workshops, training, summits, consulting and deliberately designed collaboration through Organizational Development and Human Resources’ Learning and Development teams.

Faculty Development

Faculty members looking to expand their professional practice and examine their ongoing development in the Essential Competencies of a Valencia Educator have the opportunity to participate in seminars and courses uniquely designed and facilitated by Valencia faculty.

Development Programs

All employees have access to a diverse portfolio of professional development programs, offered through Organizational Development and Human Resources, which are carefully designed to welcome diverse groups of employees together to learn in community. The learning series and cohort-based programs focus on broad topics such as leadership, creative thinking and supervision. Programs include:

  • Emerging Leaders Program
  • Foundations of Creative Thinking
  • Prototype: An Exploration of Collaboration by Design
  • Supervisor Development Series
Employee Development Funds

Full-time employees who have been employed at the College in a full-time position for a minimum of six continuous months are eligible for Employee Development Funds to support conferences, workshops, seminars and webinars, and tuition reimbursement from accredited higher education institutions in the United States. These employees, and their eligible dependents, may take courses at Valencia as well.


My Performance

Located in Atlas, the Valencia Employee Development Growth and Engagement (EDGE) is designed to help faculty, staff and supervisors set, track and manage professional goals. Use the My Performance channel in the Valencia EDGE to plan, update and complete your yearly evaluation conversations.
