Developing Employees
Consistently and purposefully engaging employees in conversations about their professional growth and development is crucial to their success. To aid you in that effort, we offer comprehensive development offerings including on-demand training through LinkedIn Learning and instructor-led training and development programs through ODHR, Faculty Development and the Peace and Justice Institute.

Managing Employee Performance
Managing employee performance is a critical part of your role. Managing performance is rooted in providing ongoing feedback and may include setting clear expectations, identifying opportunities for continued training and development, acknowledging and recognizing employee accomplishments and addressing concerns as they arise.

Types of Leave
There are several different types of leave to accommodate employees when they need time away from work. When an employee submits a leave request, please review and process the Certificate of Absence in the Manage and Request Leave system in Atlas.

Employee Check-Ins and Faculty Evaluations
Employee Check-Ins and Faculty Evaluations and are essential to helping employees meet expectations and achieve their professional goals.
In the My Performance Channel in The Valencia Employee Development Growth and Engagement (EDGE) is designed to help faculty, staff and supervisors set, track and manage these goals.
