Dual Enrollment PERT Testing and Assessment Requirements

Future Dual Enrollment Students

It is the student's responsibility to submit their scores in the appropriate time needed for Valencia College to receive and process. Do not wait until the last minute to submit your scores. Refer to Dual Enrollment for deadline dates.


 Important Notes at a Glance

  1. Student must have a processed Dual Enrollment application on file and have received a VID number (V0______) before testing at Valencia College.
  2. Valencia College will not accept scores from other institutions for Dual Enrollment students. DE applicants must test at their High School or Valencia College.
  3. Valencia College will not accept paper copies of SAT, ACT or CLT, they must be sent electronically from CollegeBoard (SAT), ACT or CLT.
  4. ID REQUIRED: You need to bring a physical and valid government issued photo ID. A high school photo ID can also be accepted when accompanied with a birth certificate or social security card. Pictures of your ID from a device or photos/ copies of accompanying documentation will NOT be accepted. A government issued photo ID can be obtained at any DMV or with the Florida Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles. We are unable to accept Florida Smart ID at this time.

Sum of Verbal Reasoning (Reading) + Grammar/Writing (Writing): 38 Quantitative Reasoning: 16 (Intermediate Algebra)

PERT Testing at Valencia College

The following guidelines apply for both virtual and on campus testing options:

PERT On-Campus Testing

***You must have a processed Spring 2027 Dual Enrollment application on file and have received your Spring 2027 VID letter from Dual Enrollment prior to making a PERT appointment***

Schedule your required appointment by clicking on your desired campus below and select "Dual Enrollment" for exam group:  

 

  • Government-issued photo ID is required.
  • High school IDs will only be accepted when accompanied with a birth certificate OR social security card.
  • Photos/copies of IDs or accompanying documents will not be accepted.
  • Valencia ID required (V0________) 
  • Personal items will not be permitted in the Testing Center and NO large bags or purses allowed
  • Arrive on time to your appointment or you might be asked to re-schedule
  • Testing candidates are the only persons allowed in the Testing Center. Relatives/friends must wait outside of the Testing Center. Children are not to be left unattended in the Testing Center lobby or anywhere outside during testing.

 

PERT Virtual Testing

***You must have a processed Spring 2027 Dual Enrollment application on file and have received your Spring 2027 VID letter from Dual Enrollment prior to completing the Virtual PERT Request form***  

The Virtual Request Form will be available until Friday, October 30, 2026.  

  • Government-issued photo ID is required.
  • High school IDs will only be accepted when accompanied with a birth certificate OR social security card.
  • Photos/copies of IDs or accompanying documents will not be accepted.
  • Valencia ID required (V0________) 
  • You may take the PERT at any time between 12:00AM and 10:59PM EST 
  • This is a recorded proctoring session through Proctorio

Virtual Testing Requirements include:

NOTE: No payment necessary if this is your first time taking the PERT at Valencia College. High school attempts do not count as an attempt at Valencia College. Second and third attempts are $10.00 per subject (reading, writing, or math). 


PERT at High School Campus

If you have qualifying test scores from the PERT taken at your high school, please allow 10 business days for our office to retrieve the scores from your school district. Please note that there is no action needed on your part.

High School PERT scores will only be accepted electronically from your school district.

The results of the exam will determine which courses you can take at Valencia College. There’s no failing the exam, however it will impact the courses you'll take at Valencia College, so it's important that you study for the test.

How to Submit SAT, ACT or CLT Scores

If a student has taken the SAT, ACT or CLT in the past two years and the scores are at college level, the scores must be sent to Valencia College electronically from CollegeBoard (SAT),  ACT or CLT to be considered for Dual Enrollment admission.

SAT scores can be sent electronically from your CollegeBoard Account.

ACT scores can be sent electronically from your ACT Account.

CLT scores can be sent electronically from your CLT Account.
